Tree-planting ceremony at Arboretum

First Prev 1 2 3 4 Next Last

Students from Victor Scott Primary School joined Premier Michael Dunkley, Health, Seniors and Environment Minister Jeanne Atherden and Education Minister Wayne Scott in planting a Bermuda Cedar tree yesterday to mark Earth Day.

The tree planting took place at the Arboretum, which was one of the parks hardest hit last year during hurricanes Fay and Gonzalo.

Yesterday's tree planting is in keeping with the Department of Parks' reforestation project, which has seen the repopulating of endemic trees around the Island.
