Keep Bermuda Beautiful is hosting an island-wide cleaning campaign throughout this week.

A charity statement said the Great Big Bermuda Clean-up kicked off on Sunday and ends with a two-hour sweep through Warwick this Sunday.

The finale event will start at 9am near Warwick Academy.

Angel Smith, KBB executive director, explained: "It’s incredibly exciting to experience my first Great Big Bermuda Clean-up and to see our volunteers coming together for the greater good of our island — the passion and energy are contagious.“

More than 1,300 volunteers collected 28,000 pounds of trash from 89 locations during the clean-up last year — a goal that Ms Smith hopes to surpass.

Volunteers should visitkbb.bm or call 799-5142 to get involved
