Home affairs minister to talk to energy experts in Florida
The Minister of Home Affairs will speak to political and business leaders in the environmental and energy fields during a conference in Florida this week.
Alexa Lightbourne will sit down with experts while attending the 17th Annual Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum in Miami.
The home affairs ministry said last month that Ms Lightbourne would speak about Bermuda’s approach to energy reform during the three-day conference, which begins on Wednesday.
She will have meetings with Kerry McCarthy, the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Climate) for Britain, David Ehrhardt, the chief executive officer of the policy infrastructure advisory group Castalia, and David Gumbs, the director of the Rocky Mountain Institute’s Islands Energy Programme.
Ms Lightbourn is to return to the island on Thursday.
