The Marine Resources Enforcement Strategy, aimed at protecting Bermuda’s oceans, has been given extra time for public consultation, the Ministry of Public Works and Environment announced.
The framework for responsible management of marine resources, which would have closed for responses yesterday, needed extra time for feedback, a spokesman said.
The deadline for input through an online survey at forum.gov.bm has been pushed to next Thursday.
The strategy was developed by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in partnership with local and regional partners to “strengthen enforcement, improve compliance and ensure marine resources are managed responsibly for future generations”.
