Animal lovers are invited to come together this month to support the Bermuda Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The Bermuda SPCA will host its annual Paws to the Park fundraiser between 9am and noon on October 26 at the Botanical Gardens.

A spokeswoman for the charity said the event this year includes a scavenger hunt, dog games, a costume contest and a $5 raffle with prizes including hotel stays, spa treatments and Belco gift certificates.

The event, sponsored by Purina Dog Chow and Endsmeet Animal Hospital, will feature booths from local vendors including Noah’s Ark, Boats N Barks and Strange Bird.

Proceeds from Paws to the Park will support the SPCA’s animal care and veterinary services, which help animals at the shelter, community members facing medical expenses, and provide urgent care for animals found in distress.

April Augustus, executive director of the Bermuda SPCA, said: “The support we receive through events like this truly makes a difference.

“It helps us continue providing care and compassion to animals across our island.”

Registration for the event is open at spca.bm.
