Remembrance Day Parade to go ahead as planned
Serving and former soldiers will take their places on Front Street this morning for the Remembrance Day Parade.
The observance will commemorate people who died in the two world wars and other campaigns of the Allied Forces.
It will begin at 10.30am when Royal Bermuda Regiment troops will be joined by veterans as well as members of the Bermuda Police Service, the Bermuda Sea Cadets and the Bermuda Scouts.
Music will be provided by the RBR Band and Corps of Drums, the Somerset Brigade Band, the Salvation Army Divisional Band, the North Village Band and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band.
Wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph by Andrew Murdoch, the Governor, David Burt, the Premier, and other dignitaries.
The Government said this morning that owing to the unsettled weather conditions, it will not run a live stream of the parade.
Instead, the event will be filmed and aired later today on the Government’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The Government added: “We apologise for any inconvenience.
“However, the public can still attend today's observances on Front Street in person to honour those Bermudians who served and sacrificed.”
Coverage of the parade from The Royal Gazette will be provided later.
