Nahki Wells has been named as Bristol City’s Community Champion for the 2024-25 season.

The award recognises the contribution players make off the pitch in the local community with players nominated by Bristol City Robins Foundation.

Wells regularly demonstrated his commitment to his local community, donating Christmas presents to young people in need at the Foundation’s free holiday camps, to making local children feel at home on a recent visit to the High Performance Centre and spearheading clothes and signed boot donations from the men’s team,

The Bermudian forward expressed his pride at winning the award.

“The Robins Foundation is so important to us as a club and this season to be able to give back in even a small way, we know makes a difference,” Wells said

“The players have really enjoyed going to holiday camps, giving back through donations and we were all reminded of the importance every week when we put on our shirt with the Foundation on the front of it.”

James Edwards, the Robins Foundation’s chief development officer, praised Wells for his selflessness.

“The engagement of Nahki with Bristol communities this season has been excellent,” Edwards said.

“The thoughtfulness and care he put into these community engagements is a credit to him and Bristol City FC in this 2024-25 season.

“We are thankful for his continued work and know that the impact on young people in Bristol will be long-lasting.”
