Sergio Goater appointed head coach of Robin Hood
Sergio Goater will compete against his former club Hamilton Parish in the First Division next season after being named the new head coach of Robin Hood.
The club took to social media to announce that the former North Village player has replaced Cecoy Robinson at the helm, with the position becoming vacant after Robinson took over head coaching duties from Quincy Hunt at Premier Division side PHC Zebras.
“Robin Hood FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sergio Goater as head coach for the senior men’s team for the 2025-26 season,” read a club statement.
“Sergio is an experienced and proven head coach at the senior level, who the club feel will be a good fit to lead and develop our young player pool in our bid to gain promotion back into the top flight of Bermuda’s football.”
Goater is keen to get cracking at his new club ahead of the new season.
“I can’t wait to get started and would like to thank director of coaching and skills development Dennis Brown and technical director Richard Todd for trusting in me,” he told The Royal Gazette.
“Their project aligned with what I was looking for in my coaching career, which is a young, talented group.”
Goater experienced mixed fortunes with Parish last season. He led them to Dudley Eve Trophy glory, the club’s first major title, before being relegated to the second tier as a player shortage took a heavy toll.
