Bermuda v Jamaica World Cup qualifier sold out
Flora Duffy Stadium will be packed to the rafters for Bermuda’s crucial final round World Cup qualifying match against Jamaica on Friday night.
The Bermuda Football Association has confirmed that tickets have completely sold out and the organisation thanked the general public for their wonderful support as the national side continue their pursuit to qualify for the World Cup for the first time.
“The response from Bermuda showing so much love has been amazing,” BFA general secretary David Sabir told The Royal Gazette.
“Ticket sales from the start were being taken up by Bermuda’s football loving fanbase, those that are supportive of the national team and those who want to show lots of Bermy love.
“We expect that we will have an exuberant, very joyous and exciting crowd at the National Sports Centre on Friday, when the Gombey Warriors take on the Reggae Boyz from Jamaica.”
The match tomorrow is only the third World Cup qualifier between the two nations and the first since Bermuda held Jamaica to a 1-1 draw at home in 1992.
Jamaica beat Bermuda 2-0 the last time the sides came up against each other in a friendly in 2020.
