Nathan Trott nominated for player of month award
Bermudian goalkeeper Nathan Trott has been nominated for the League One Player of the Month award in England.
Trott had a stellar first month between the posts for Cardiff after joining the club on loan from Copenhagen and did not concede a goal in five league matches for his new side in August.
The 26-year-old was also named man of the match for his performance against Nahki Wells’s Luton Town in a 1-0 victory last month with Cardiff players, coaches and fans waxing lyrical over his performances.
Trott was nominated for the honour alongside Owen Bailey, of Doncaster Rovers, Jamie Reid from Stevenage Borough and AFC Wimbledon’s Matty Stevens.
Cardiff coach Brian Barry-Murphy has been nominated for the August Coach of the Month award after steering his side to the top of the League One table.
Despite being eligible to play for Bermuda in the recent World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica and Curacao, Trott continues to make himself unavailable to play for the national team.
He is likely to feature in goal in Cardiff’s next match, which comes away at Stockport County, with the game set to start at 11am Bermuda time
