A small audience will get the opportunity to watch the completed documentary about football icon Clyde Best at Bermuda College, on Wednesday afternoon.

The screening of the almost complete documentary, dubbed the “first-look”, provides viewers with a glimpse of most of the finished product in advance of the film’s official premiere in London in March.

Producer Dan Egan indicated that the 90-minute documentary was still without some key components.

“What we’re doing at Bermuda College on Wednesday is a sneak peek,” Egan said.

“We are expecting 25-30 supporters and people who are in the film like Carlton Best, Marie Best, Rick Richardson, Glenn Fubler, Dr Dana Selassie and others.

“We want to test the audience before picture lock and the film is still missing final graphics and final music.

“The London premiere is from March 25 to 29 at Sadler's Wells in Stratford, with the Bermuda premiere set for April 21 to 26.”

In November, guests watched snippets of the film at Cambridge Beaches with excerpts of the documentary shown to 170 people at a star-studded dinner.

Best closed out the evening when he was joined for a panel discussion by his former West Ham team-mate Ade Coker, author Patrick Horne and American actor Tony Head, the narrator for the film.
