Devonshire Cougars returned to winning ways in a massive way by compounding Boulevard’s Premier Division relegation woes at Devonshire Rec on Wednesday night.

Charmari Burns opened the scoring for Cougars in the sixteenth minute, before Kydan Browne, Jayori Fox, Chae Brangman, substitutes, Christian Albouy, Justin Bell and Zion Simmons added their names to the score sheet off the bench.

Doreiko Walker scored the consolation goal for Boulevard in the seventeenth.

The biggest victory of the season for Cougars brought an end to a five-match winless streak for Mark Mills’s side. Before winning against Boulevard, they had only picked up a point from a possible 15, with a huge defeat to PHC in their last encounter.

For Boulevard, it was their eleventh loss of the season, which left them stuck at the bottom of the table on six points.

Fox had the first scoring chance for Cougars in the eighth minute, but his effort was saved by DeAz Chamber. Burns opened the floodgates when his shot went in via a deflection.

Boulevard hit back a minute later after Walker raced to a through ball by Doreiko Walker, rounded a drawn out Q'Shai Darrell for the equaliser.

Burns turned provider with a cross for Browne to score the second for Cougars. The latter also weighed in with an assist for Fox.

Jahzi Wilson-Butterfield was impeded in the box by Cole Summers in first half stoppage time for Brangman to tuck the ball into the left corner from 12 yards out.

Brangman supplied a pass for Albouy to score the fourth goal for Cougars. Bell finished off a fine move with a lobbed effort over the goalkeeper.

Domico Coddington could have added his name to the score sheet with two minutes remaining, but was denied by Chambers. It was left to Simmons to finish off the scoring on the night.
