Kappa Classic semi-final and final results
The Kappa Classic extravaganza came to a close on Sunday with ten teams celebrating victory.
The island’s youngest sides to taste success were the Boulevard Blazers and BHS under-7 teams. Boulevard’s boys team beat X-Roads Black 5-0 in their final, with BHS girls overcoming Devonshire Colts 3-0.
The Colts under-9 boys team went one better than their younger counterparts by beating Somerset Reds 3-1 on penalties after the game ended 1-1. Bascome Football Leadership Academy (BFLA) Blacks beat PHC Lady Zebras 1-0 in the girls final.
FC Bascome Blue were crowned champions of the under-11 boys competition after beating Warwick Football Academy (WFA) Ajax 2-1. BFLA Blacks were the under-11 girls winners, beating Vasco 3-1.
Into the teenage age groups and FC Bascome Blue ran out 2-0 winners over PHC Blacks in the under-13 boys final, while WFA Independiente won a closely fought girls final 1-0 against BFLA Blacks.
Somerset Reds ended Kappa as the under-15 champions after beating PHC 2-0 but PHC’s girls team in that age group beat BFLA Blacks 2-0 in their final.
