HSBC Bermuda sponsors LB Football Academy
LB Football Academy has announced HSBC Bermuda as its new main Academy sponsor, marking an exciting new chapter as it continues to grow and expand opportunities for young footballers across the island.
The sponsorship will help LB Football Academy deliver and develop its player programmes, camps, clinics and specialist training opportunities, providing more young players with access to high-quality football coaching and pathways to work towards their sporting goals.
Founded by Leo Burgess, LB Football Academy has grown from its beginnings in individual player training into a structured academy serving young players across Bermuda. The Academy takes a development-first approach, focusing on technical ability, decision-making, confidence and helping players build a genuine love for the game.
“We’re extremely grateful to HSBC Bermuda for believing in what we’re building at LB and for coming on board as our main Academy Sponsor,” said Burgess, founder of LB Football Academy.
“This is a huge step for the Academy, and it’s something we’re really proud of. Our focus has always been on creating the best possible environment for players to develop, enjoy football and reach their potential. HSBC’s support will help us continue to improve our programmes, reach more players and create more opportunities for them through LB.
“For us, it’s about investing in the next generation of Bermudian footballers and continuing to build something special. We’re excited about what this sponsorship can help us achieve and, most importantly, what it can mean for our players.”
Tanya Bule, Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking HSBC Bermuda, is thrilled with the partnership.
“Youth football is a vibrant part of Bermuda’s culture, bringing young people together and instilling lifelong values like discipline, teamwork and resilience,” Bule said.
“We are immensely excited to sponsor LB Football Academy and support these young athletes as they build confidence, stay active and chase their goals on and off the field.”
