Nicola Bruce joins Walkers
Nicola Bruce has joined Walkers’ Bermuda office as private capital and trusts partner.
Ms Bruce, recognised by Legal 500 as one of the five leading partners in the Bermuda trusts space, joins the international law firm with a track record of advising international ultra-high-net-worth families, trustees, family offices and private wealth structures on complex offshore trust and fiduciary matters.
Her expertise spans trust establishment, restructuring and administration, employee benefit trusts, charitable and philanthropic structures, and commercial purpose trusts.
Ms Bruce has extensive experience over many years advising clients on Bermuda trust law, trust disputes and complex fiduciary matters, as well as acting as a private trust company director.
She has acted on several of the jurisdiction's most significant trust cases, including a multi-billion-dollar matter before the Bermuda Court of Appeal, Walkers said in a statement.
Ms Bruce advises on trust restructurings, governance arrangements and transactions involving substantial assets held in trust.
Kevin Taylor, Bermuda office managing partner, said: “Nicola’s arrival bolsters our already outstanding offering in Bermuda. She adds valuable expertise to our bench and further solidifies Walkers as the first choice for clients looking for premier trust advice.”
Ms Bruce said: “Walkers has an internationally recognised platform and a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service. I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm to support families, trustees, family offices and institutions to navigate increasingly complex cross-border wealth structures with confidence.”
