New schedule for delayed garbage collection

Trash collection (File photograph)

Trash collection has been hit by “ongoing delays”, a spokesman for the Department of Works and Engineering advised today.

Collection scheduled for yesterday is to be completed today.

Friday’s waste collection, which had been advertised for today, will be completed on Saturday.

Any trash not collected today should be removed from the kerbside and placed in a lidded bin.

The spokesman reminded the public to put out garbage and recyclables only on the assigned collection day.

The department apologised for any inconvenience caused.
