Covid protest flops

A protest against Covid-19 regulations promoted on social media failed to materialise at the Cabinet Office tonight.

While the protest was reportedly to begin at 10.30pm, only a handful of police were present on the grounds this evening.

A small group gathered near the junction of Parliament Street and Front Street opposite the grounds to see if a protest might take place.

The spectators peacefully dispersed before the start of curfew at 11pm.
