Bermuda’s first online conference on culture and heritage remains open for registration.

The summit this Sunday, to be aired live on Zoom at 11am, will launch Bermuda’s National Cultural Heritage Policy.

Speakers for the Bermuda Cultural Stakeholder Conference include Ernest Peets, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, and Charles Jeffers II, chief executive of the Bermuda Tourism Authority.

Also taking part are Henry Thomas of Jumuiya Ya Afrika, a charity set up to promote African culture and heritage in Bermuda; Richard Lowry of the Landmarks Preservation Commission of New York; Rosemary Hall, a sociolinguist and oral historian; art historian Stephanie Gibson; Richard Ambrosio of the Portuguese Cultural Association and Vasco da Gama Club; Elena Strong, executive director of the National Museum of Bermuda, and writer and teacher Yesha Townsend.

The public can sign up to participate here and join the forum on plans to support Bermuda’s artists, cultural groups and heritage organisations.
