Charity appeals for potential new board members

A charity is appealing for people who are interested in becoming board directors or sitting on committees to step forward.

Age Concern Bermuda (ACB) is inviting applications from members of the community who wish to volunteer their time and expertise to contribute to “the important work of the charity”.

A spokesperson said: “The Board wishes to recruit individuals whose experience, knowledge and leadership skills provide a balanced, wide ranging cross-section of disciplines and abilities: including, but not limited to business, finance, human resources, legal, health, communications, and fundraising.

“ACB is governed by a diverse group of dedicated directors who volunteer their time and expertise.

“The Board’s work is supported by volunteer Board committees that include, Governance, Finance, Audit and Risk, Fund Development and Membership, as well as ad hoc subcommittees, which work on projects as required. ACB is committed to Board level succession planning to enable continuous improvement of our organisation, through Board experience and activities.”
