Rotary donates $10,000 to shelter for homeless women

Rotarians dug into their pockets to bring a shelter for homeless women and their children a step closer to completion.

Sandys Rotary Club donated $10,000 to Habitat for Humanity Bermuda for the Transformational Living Centre on Parsons Road in Pembroke.

The project is a joint venture between Habitat and the Women’s Resource Centre to convert a Pembroke Parish Council building once used as a rest home.
