Firefighters called to restaurant laundry blaze

Firefighters put out a blaze at the Fourways Inn restaurant in Warwick on Sunday afternoon.

According to a Bermuda Fire and Rescue spokesman, crews were alerted to the fire just after 2.30pm.

A team of eight firefighters from the Hamilton and Port Royal stations responded to the 911 call.

The spokesman said: “On arrival, fire crews found a laundry engulfed in flames.

“Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire is unknown.”

The fire is under investigation by a fire service investigator.
