Former World Indoor champion and Olympic Games triple jumper Brian Wellman made a clean handoff of the Queen’s Baton to Rena Lalgie, the Governor, at Government House today.

The baton will leave Government House tomorrow on the second day of its journey through Bermuda.

The baton relay in Bermuda is the 62nd leg of visits to 72 countries before it reaches Birmingham, England in time for the start of the Commonwealth Games on July 28.(Photograph by Blaire Simmons)
