Man taken to hospital after bike and car collide

A man was taken to hospital after suffering head injuries in a collision between a bike and a car in Warwick Thursday night.

Police said that at about 9.20pm officers and were called to a report of a two vehicle collision between a motor car and a motorcycle, on Middle Road, Warwick, in the vicinity of Keith Hall Road.

A police spokeswoman said: “Initial enquires suggest that both vehicles were travelling in an easterly direction. The female driver of the motor car was attempting to negotiate a right turn onto Tribe Road #2, when two males travelling on a motorcycle attempted to overtake the motor car, resulting in a collision.

“The male, believed to be the rider of the motorcycle was conveyed to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for treatment to suspected head injuries.

“It was reported that his pillion passenger was also injured, however the pillion passenger had left the scene prior to police arrival. The extent of his injuries is unknown. The female driver of the motor car was not reported to be injured.”
