A Bermudian pilot passing over the island caught footage of a lightning storm over Bermuda last week.

Sebastian Brisson, a private jet captain, said that he recorded the footage 47,000ft above the island on Wednesday evening as he flew from Europe to Florida.

Mr Brisson said: “As a Bermudian I use every overflight of the island as an opportunity to share the island from unique angles with family, colleagues and friends.

“It was a unique time of day and with thunderstorms just west of the island at that time which created a great show.

“I haven’t officially shared it on any social media but those I’ve shared with have enjoyed it.”
