Charity supporting young men to hold fundraisers

First Prev 1 2 3 Next Last

Residents of all ages were invited to take part in the first fundraising events for a charity that supports young men.

Transitional Community Services will have a denim day on November 9 and a tag day on November 12.

A spokeswoman said that the charity aimed to "provide individualised support services to young adult men aged 18 to 34 years“.

She added: “November marks an important month for men, as this is the month that recognises ‘Movember’ and International Day of the Man on November 19, so the timing for fundraising is fitting.

“Services at TCS often include support on how to get a job and keep a job, case management, counselling or advocacy.

“Their Community Bridge Builders Programme aims to offer support, teach new skills, and empower young men to live successful lives, as an actively connected part of the community.”

TCS invited residents to donate time or take part in the events.

To get involved in tagging or sign up an organisation for denim day, e-mail info@tcscharity.bm, call 707-5430 or use bit.ly/TCSTagDay2022 to select a tagging slot.

The tag day is from 9am to 5pm at stores and pharmacies across the island.
