Boy, 8, among people injured in South Road crash

Two people have been taken to hospital after two motorcycles collided in Devonshire.

A police spokeswoman said that officers and other first responders were sent to the scene of a collision on South Road, near the junction with Kent Avenue, at about 3.30pm on Saturday.

“Details surround the collision are limited. However, it is believed that three people were involved,” the spokeswoman said.

“Two adults have been taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries, which were described as potentially serious.

“An eight-year-old child was also reported to injured in the collision, but believed to have suffered a minor injury.”

Traffic was being diverted this afternoon from the area at Brighton Hill, Brighton Hill, Berry Hill and Tee Street.

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision is urged to call police on 211.
