Ferry service suspended on Orange Route

Ferry service on the Orange Route, which runs from Dockyard to St. George's, has been temporarily suspended, according to the Department of Marine and Ports Services.

Mechanical issues at the Hunter's Wharf loading ramp were blamed, and repairs are being undertaken.

No date or time was given for the resumption of service.

In July, extra Orange Route services were added to the schedule, with four runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, plus additional runs when cruise ships are in town.

Daily service has been discussed to allow for commuting and to make it easier for cruise passengers to visit St George's.
