The US Congress is considering legislation to allow publishers and broadcasters to collectively negotiate with digital platforms as advertising revenue of the news media has fallen amid rapid technological disruption. On Thursday at 10.15am, join The Washington Post’s Leigh Ann Caldwell for a conversation with Democratic senator Amy Klobuchar and Republican representative Ken Buck about their bipartisan push for the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act and the role of the free press in a democracy.
