A traffic incident in Smith’s on Sunday afternoon left a car damaged and partially submerged, but caused no serious injuries, according to police.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that at about 1.15pm on Sunday, emergency services received reports of a single-vehicle crash near Penhurst Park on North Shore Road.

“It was reported that the motor car was travelling in a westerly direction when the female driver lost control of the vehicle, which went through a guard rail and landed partially in the water near the dock at Penhurst Park,” he said.

“The male passenger was transported to hospital by fire personnel for treatment for his injuries, which were not considered serious.”
