Guests at the Bermuda National Gallery on Friday night were treated to an array of artworks at the opening of the 2024 Bermuda Biennial exhibition.

The visitors, numbering 300 according to the gallery, viewed the work of 25 Bermudian artists at the exhibition, juried by Ebony G. Patterson and Helen Toomer.

The event, which is sponsored by Bacardi Limited, officially opened to the public on Saturday.

According to the BNG’s website, the exhibition is a critical platform for Bermuda’s contemporary art community.

The BNG said the exhibition, run since 1994, “showcases the dynamism of local artists as well as international artists living on the island, and serves as a platform for programmes on art, culture and dialogue”.
