Bermuda Institute to hold cultural event

A cultural performance will be among the highlights of the festival on May 5 (Photograph supplied)

Residents will have the chance to contribute to Bermuda Institute’s learning programme when the school holds the Intercultural Festival on Sunday.

The event was designed to celebrate the “diversity within our school and our community”, the school said.

It added: “Each grade has chosen a country to represent and provide facts and decorations to celebrate that country along with sampling of food from the various countries.”

Funds raised at the festival will go towards the school’s classroom learning programme.

The event is to run from noon until 4pm in the school’s auditorium.

It will kick off with a “Parade of Nations” followed by food sampling at 1pm and a cultural performance at 3pm.

Admission for the festival is $5.
