Local businesses to be featured in Taste of Bermuda
The City of Hamilton encouraged island businesses to take part in its annual culinary event in October.
Lorna Hayward, its senior events co-ordinator, said the City planned to engage food and beverage vendors, food trucks, fresh-produce providers, sellers of Bermuda cookbooks and cookware, and “decor table-scape exhibitors” who can offer one or two signature items during the eleventh Taste of Bermuda event.
A spokeswoman said this year’s festival, which will take place from October 17 to 20, “promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Bermuda's rich food culture, spotlighting local culinary talent and providing vibrant, multisensory experiences”.
She added: “This year’s bespoke culinary experience is crafted to blend time-honoured traditions with the latest culinary trends, creating a community atmosphere that celebrates Bermuda’s culture and supports local businesses.”
Ms Hayward said: “Taste of Bermuda attracts a diverse audience, from families looking for weekend fun to food lovers seeking unique and memorable experiences.
“In past years, the festival has drawn thousands of attendees over the weekend.
“This year's event will transform the City into a haven of culinary delights.”
The full schedule and line-up will be released soon and tickets will go on sale during the first week in September.
Chefs and bartenders who wish to showcase their skills during the festival were encouraged to apply through a Planning Pod link and interested vendors must do so by September 13.
