More than 100 people received a prize through a Bermuda Gas promotion.

The scheme offered prize opportunities to Bermuda Gas customers who bought or exchanged a 17lb or 31lb composite cylinder between July 5 and October 6.

A statement from the company said that 99 people won gourmet barbecue utensils, three earned either a gas range or gas water heater and Shannon Topple took away the $2,500 propane voucher grand prize.

Ms Topple said: “To think that a simple exchange or cylinder purchase would award me with a $2,500 propane voucher is awesome.”

Ernest Marshall, Bermuda Gas sales and customer service manager, explained: “To award more than 100 people with amazing prizes is a good feeling and, following the success of our recent Cup Match portal promotion, it is rewarding to be able to give back to the community.”
