Police have launched an investigation after a woman was found in an unresponsive state near a playground this morning.

A police spokesman said that emergency services were dispatched shortly before 11.30am to the Warwick Playground after a woman was found on rocks near the trails.

“Upon arrival, emergency personnel immediately provided medical assistance to the woman who, although unresponsive, was breathing,” the spokesman said.

“She was transported by ambulance for treatment of her injuries, the extent of which is unknown at this time.

“The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear and an active investigation into how the woman came to be in that location is now under way.”
