The Ministry of National Security urged people to be responsible and make good choices during the Bermuda Day weekend.

Minister Michael Weeks said: “Bermuda Day is a celebration of who we are, our culture, our roots and our resilience.

“Whether you are watching the parade, cheering at the races or spending time with family and friends, let us remember what this day means to our country and our people.

“This day ought to be filled with peace, love and harmony across all our shores.”

The minister added: “We should honour this holiday in a way that reflects the best of who we are, take care of ourselves and each other, show love and help make this a positive weekend for everyone.”
