Students at Somersfield Academy hope to raise $1,000 for the Eliza DoLittle Society.

M3 students Djibril Aw, Jack Bull, Giovanni Araujo and Jase Davis also organised shelves and assisted clients at the Warwick food pantry.

They are raising funds, which will go towards purchasing a new refrigerator, through community events, selling popcorn and using a GoFundMe page.

Claire Mello-Robinson, executive director of the Eliza DoLittle Society, said: “I am incredibly proud of this group of students for stepping up and making a difference.

“Their compassion, teamwork and problem-solving skills are on full display, and it’s inspiring to see them turn their ideas into action.”

A statement from the charity said: “This project stands as a testament to the positive change that young people can drive when given the opportunity to lead with purpose and kindness.”
