Police: West End minibus fire under investigation

Police have opened an investigation after a minibus was found engulfed in flames in the West End on Saturday morning.

Officers received a call at about 6am about a vehicle fire near the former Arnold’s Supermarket in Sandys.

Police and firefighters with the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service found a minibus consumed by flames.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and a follow-up investigation confirmed that the vehicle was intentionally set alight.

Police have called on anyone with information or those who may have seen anything suspicious in the area before or after the incident to come forward.
