Youngsters from seven primary schools flocked to the WER Joell Tennis Stadium yesterday for coaching in the island’s newest racket sport.

Professional players Gavin Manders and Imani Phillips put the young athletes through their paces in pickleball, a game that many could start playing in a matter of minutes.

The game, which was invented in the 1960s, is on the ascent in Bermuda.

It marked the second annual Primary School Pickleball Festival for the island.
