Bermuda’s trash collection schedule will be pushed back by one day next week because of the National Heroes Day holiday on Monday.

The Ministry of Public Works and Environment said that household waste collection would switch to a “rollover schedule”.

“On rollover weeks, waste collection days move over by one day, ending with Friday's waste being collected on Saturday,” a spokesman said.

“Recycling collection will remain unchanged, as this is not a recycling collection week.

“Members of the public may also use the Tynes Bay public drop-off, which is open from 9am until noon on the holiday, to dispose of household waste, tin, aluminium, glass bottles, hazardous materials such as paints and pesticides and bulky burnable and non-burnable items.“

The full 2025 Garbage and Recycling collection schedule is available online at www.gov.bm/waste.
