The public service congratulated 24 senior civil servants for completing an advanced-level leadership programme.

The Executive Leadership Programme offered specialised training for members of the public service to prepare them for roles such as department heads and permanent secretaries.

A government spokeswoman said the completed courses were “a milestone achievement” in the civil servants’ careers.

The Executive Leadership Programme was offered in two parts — the management training programme, which was completed by seven people, and the main leadership development programme, which was completed by 17 participants.

Both levels, according to the Ministry of the Cabinet Office and Digital Innovation, used technical and experiential learning.

Diallo Rabain, the minister, said: “The completion of this programme represents more than just personal achievement — it marks a strategic investment in Bermuda’s future.

“Our public servants have demonstrated resilience, curiosity and a commitment to service that will help in creating a more responsive and people-centred Government.”

Cherie Whitter, the Head of the Public Service, congratulated graduates of the course.

She added that the programme was an example of the public service’s reform goals to train those public servants working at the highest levels.

Ms Whitter said: “The officers should be immensely proud of their accomplishments.

“Their dedication reflects the very best of public service and the shared ambition we hold to advance a public service that meets challenges and serves people effectively.

“This achievement not only enhances the professional growth of individual participants but also delivers broad value to the country.

“By strengthening the capabilities of Bermuda’s senior public servants, the Government is laying the foundation for more innovative policy development, better service delivery and a more agile and accountable public service.

“The Government of Bermuda congratulates all 24 public officers for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to leadership excellence.”
