Two in hospital after collision between SUV and motorcycle

Police are appealing for witnesses to a two-vehicle crash in the early hours of this morning that has left two people in hospital.

The collision involved an SUV and a motorcycle, both travelling in a westerly direction on Kindley Field Road in St George’s at about 2.30am.

A spokesman said: “Upon arrival, officers were informed there were two males travelling on the motorcycle at the time of the collision.

“One of them was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via private vehicle. It is unclear what, if any injuries, he may have sustained.

“The second male sustained head injuries and bruises to the body. He was reportedly in and out of consciousness.

“He was attended to at the scene by EMTs and was subsequently transported by ambulance to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

“The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.”

The spokesman added that the driver of the SUV sustained a neck injury which was not considered serious. Her female passenger did not appear to have been injured.

The scene was forensically processed without any major disruption to the flow of traffic.
