Motorcyclist injured in Warwick crash

A male motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Middle Road in Warwick.

The Bermuda Police Service said at about 3.15pm yesterday, police and Emergency Medical Services personnel attended the scene of the crash on Middle Road, Warwick, near its junction with Tribe Road No 6.

A police spokesman said: “It was reported that the motorcycle rider, a 52-year-old male, was in and out of consciousness having sustained possible head as well as facial injuries.”

The man was transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and at last check he continued to receive treatment for his injuries, which were considered serious but not life-threatening.

Traffic diversions were put in place for approximately three hours while the scene was processed by forensic staff and collision investigators.
