Autism charity benefits from fundraiser

An autism assistance charity has received a donation of $3,000 from an LGBTQ+ community and ally group.

Love is Love Bermuda made the donation to Tomorrow’s Voices after an event at Bolero Brasserie on Front Street, which included a raffle and raised $2,000.

It followed a similar fundraiser at Rosa’s Cantina in February, where the group raised $1,000 for the charity.

The charity said it felt honoured to be the beneficiary of the group’s fundraising efforts.

It added that the generosity shown through events such as the fundraiser not only provides vital support to its programmes but also strengthens its ability to continue providing subsidised services to people with autism and developmental disabilities.

Love is Love Bermuda thanked the donors that contributed to the cause as well as anyone who attended the event.

The group said that without continued support from the community it would not be able to keep hosting events that foster safe spaces for LGBTQ+ and ally individuals.
