Police continued sweeps throughout Pembroke during their continuing search for missing 15-year-old Ja’Dore Wilson.

Teams of officers patrolled the Friswell’s Hill and Saint Augustine Road areas before Hurricane Imelda made landfall.

Police later wrote on social media that finding the missing teenager was “a top priority for us”.

They added: “We urge anyone who may know her whereabouts to do the right thing and come forward.

“Keeping a minor from her family, regardless of intention, can be dangerous and may carry legal and emotional consequences.

“This child’s safety is our No 1 priority.

“Anyone who is knowingly allowing Ja’Dore Wilson to remain hidden, even under the belief that they are helping her, is potentially interfering with a missing person investigation.

“Doing so not only puts her at greater risk, but could also result in criminal charges, depending on the circumstances.

“She is a minor and vulnerable. Any adult or peer who thinks they are protecting her by keeping her hidden is doing the opposite.”

Ja’Dore was last seen on the morning of September 17 at her home on North Terrace, Pembroke.

Officers previously canvassed the Friswell’s Hill area on Tuesday, as well as other areas the 15-year-old was known to frequent.

Ja’Dore is described as having a light complexion, being 5ft 4in and about 175lb, with black-and-blonde hair past her shoulders. The police have also released images of her with a shorter haircut.

She is still believed to be travelling mainly by foot.
