Police, regiment search for missing kayaker
Police have urged the public for help finding a missing South Korean national last seen on a kayak.
A police spokesman said Hyoung Park, 57, was last spotted at 11.45am boarding a kayak and heading out into the water near The Reefs Hotel beach and travelling east.
He said: “Mr Park is described as being 5ft 6in, medium build with black hair.
“When last seen he was wearing blue swim trunks and a light-blue, marble-print T-shirt. He may have eventually put on a life vest.
“Police and Royal Bermuda Regiment personnel conducted extensive searches along the shoreline looking for Mr Park. The search was called off shortly before 8pm due to darkness and high winds. The search is expected to resume at first light tomorrow.”
Anyone with information about Mr Park’s location is urged to call police at 211 or 295-0011.
