Island joins Remembrance Sunday in London
Kimberley Durrant, the British representative for the Government of Bermuda, laid a wreath at the Cenotaph at Whitehall in London on behalf of the island today for Remembrance Sunday.
Ms Durrant joined fellow representatives from the UK Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies.
The ceremony was led by King Charles III with Sir Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister, alongside senior Cabinet ministers, high commissioners and military representatives.
It is part of the National Service of Remembrance, observed on the second Sunday of November in tribute to those who served and sacrificed in the First and Second World Wars.
Ms Durrant paid tribute to the more than 3,000 Bermudians who served in both wars, including the 125 Bermudians who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Veterans, serving members of the armed forces, and members of various organisations also participated in the formal procession.
