Motorists have been warned that traffic on Sunday morning will be affected by the Bermuda Red Cross Jingle Bell 5K.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works and Environment said the race is expected to start at 8.30am and conclude by 10am.

Competitors are scheduled to set out from Pitts Bay Road between Mill Reach Road and Fairyland Road.

The race will travel on to St John’s Road, up Langton Hill and on to North Shore Road, where participants will travel west until returning to St John’s Road at the junction with Spanish Point Road and then travelling back to Pitts Bay Road.

As a result of the event, there will be a road closure of Pitts Bay Road between Mill Reach Road and Fairyland Road between 8am and 8.45am.

The spokesman said: “Motorists are urged to follow the directions of police officers and race marshals stationed along the route and to exercise caution in the area during the event.”
