The Ministry of Public Works has released its altered schedule for collecting waste during the upcoming holidays.

Household waste that would normally be collected on Thursday and Friday will instead be collected on Saturday, in light of Christmas and Boxing Day.

Recycling normally collected on Thursday will be collected this Wednesday, while recycling collected on Friday will be taken away on Saturday.

In light of New Year’s Day, waste collected on Thursday of the following week will now be collected on Friday, while waste usually collected on Friday will be picked up the following Saturday, January 3.

A ministry spokesman encouraged the public to place waste and recycling at the kerbside by 6am on the revised collection days.
