Bermuda Restaurant Weeks celebrates sweet 16

Bermuda Restaurant Weeks will return next week with more than 50 restaurants across the island offering special menus and a series of unique events.

The Bermuda Tourism Authority said the 16th annual attraction will kick off on January 16 and continue until February 16. It will include six signature dining experiences intended to draw visitors and residents alike.

The first event, A Night at Frantzén, will bring a menu inspired by Stockholm’s three-Michelin-star restaurant Frantzén to Cambridge Beaches on January 17 featuring a seven-course “tasting journey blending Nordic purity with refined global technique”.

On January 24, Little Venice will host A Night of Fire featuring a three-course dining experience with dishes fired and finished tableside.

L’Oriental will host both An Authentic Hot Pot Experience, featuring Asian-inspired cocktails and communal hot pot for groups of eight to 12, and a Boodle Feast, featuring traditional Filipino food, on January 29

On February 6, Huckleberry will offer a secret four-course candlelit dining experience set in near darkness, while on February 13 The Loren will host award-winning pianist and composer Charu Suri for a Valentine’s themed evening of music and fine dining.

In addition to the signature events, restaurants across the island will offer two-course lunches and three-course dinners priced between $35 and $69.

A BTA spokeswoman said: “Participating chefs will present menus inspired by Bermuda’s flavours, traditions and culinary heritage, complemented by refreshed cocktail programmes, immersive signature dining experiences and a dynamic live entertainment schedule.

“Throughout the month, diners can enjoy their Bermuda Restaurant Weeks meals alongside any of the 15 scheduled live performances hosted across participating restaurants, adding music and atmosphere to the dining experience.”

Bermuda Restaurant Weeks is one of several events organised to help bolster year-round tourism and place a spotlight on cultural and culinary offerings available on the island.

Jasmine Fubler, the director of visitor experience at the BTA, said: “Bermuda Restaurant Weeks continues to elevate visitor experiences by offering accessible pricing, immersive dining and live entertainment across the island

“It invites both residents and visitors to explore Bermuda’s food culture in new ways while enjoying exceptional value during the winter season.”
