International Marriage Week proclamation today
A proclamation marking International Marriage Week will be made on the grounds of the Cabinet Office today.
Kim Wilson, the Acting Premier and Minister of Health, will make the proclamation at 10am at an event open to all.
International Marriage Week takes place globally from February 7 to 14.
Members of the public can sign up to view a number of broadcasts throughout the week including panel discussions by marriage leaders.
Anyone interested in viewing the broadcasts must sign up online by Friday.
Allan Hunt and Mildred Hunt, the local promoters, will be announcing a number of events they are organising that will be held from March to July.
Ms Hunt said: “The broadcasts are open to all in the community and can be viewed online from the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
“There will be a host of amazing marriage leaders, and it promises to be most insightful. To bring any one of those speakers here to Bermuda would be very costly.
“They will provide a lot of information on marriage and knowledge is power.
“This is our fifteenth proclamation in Bermuda, and so many people have benefited from events during International Marriage Week.”
